Unique opportunity for the discriminating Porsche enthusiast to acquire rare Porsche 968 Clubsport—one of only 1,923 built between 1993 and 1995 and proclaimed by the iconic racing driver Walter Roehrl as the “best handling car that Porsche ever made”.  A true factory lightweight Porsche, the 968 Clubsport was designed as a street-legal track car for buyers who wanted “more” from their 968’s--it was the hottest of the breed and never offered for sale here in North America making this special model highly coveted by those in the know and a very rare sight on our shores. The 968CS is an extremely exciting car to drive, providing a true analog experience thanks to its specially designed track-tuned suspension and brakes and massive, free-revving 3.0L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine mated to a close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox. Porsche also shaved well over 100 pounds from this special car by removing equipment such as the sunroof, high-end sound system, heated windshield washers, power locks, and even underhood plastic covers to save weight. With the less electronics to power, the wiring loom was also slimmed down and a lightweight battery was installed making this a true lightweight and when launched correctly, contemporary road tests returned a 5.6 second zero-to-60-mph sprint!

Finished in iconic Porsche Speed Yellow, this stunning example looks absolutely perfect! It is fitted with the desirable painted lightweight hardshell seat option (many CS’s had the regular, much heavier comfort seats) and is a collector-quality, unmodified original example that has covered only 71,000 km from new. Sold by us 10 years ago to a collector and ex-Porsche engineer in Germany and just re-imported, we have just had this fabulous Porsche fully inspected & serviced including a fresh major service--including timing belt, cam rollers and water pump--and it is ready to be driven and appreciated as Porsche intended or tucked away in a collection as it continues to appreciate!
